BIO
My musical journey began at age four with a solo in a small country church near our farm in northern Illinois, accompanied by my dad on piano. By six, inspired by family friend Art Pillar, I got my first guitar and began performing at local Farm Bureau meetings. Over time, I picked up piano and songwriting as well.
In the mid-1970s, I moved from Waco to Houston, performing solo and eventually signing with American Records in 1978 to release my debut album It’s Taken Such a Long Time. I later formed the band Rancho Bebop, playing across Texas. In 1986, I performed at the historic Balinese Room and balanced music with family life and a career in video production.
After retiring in 2017, I returned to music with a 2018 album co-produced in Nashville. Since then, I’ve continued writing and recording, despite personal trials and triumphs, including becoming a grandfather. A new album is on the way in 2025, blending fresh influences and Nashville collaborations.
